Camillus Pool Survey Results.

The Syracuse.com headline is looks a bit misleading. The vote is split on updating the building to ADA compliance, 1033 for and 1032 against and very heavily against any of the expensive upgrades. However, with a vote of 1205 to 1066 residents show they do not want the pool dismantled and filled in.

This leads one to the assumption that the pool will be kept open at the minimal investment. At least until the YMCA is confirmed.

A survey of residents in all six wards and the village showed that if the town spends any money at all, it should be just to update the facility and bring it into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. That question on the survey came the closest to residents showing any inclination – 2,604 against to 2,066 in favor — to spend money at the pool.

Camillus Local Joey Belladonna Rejoins Anthrax for Tour and Album

Anthrax is considered one of the most influential bans in heavy metal music and Camillus resident, Joey Belladonna, is known as the voice of it’s classic line up from the 1980’s – 1990’s. \m/

With rumors swirling since Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante and bassist Frank Bello were seen together with former Anthrax vocalist Joey Belladonna late last month in New York, the band — Benante, Bello, and guitarists Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano – is elated to announce that Belladonna has officially rejoined the band. In his once and current capacity, Belladonna will make his first appearance with Anthrax this summer when the band joins Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth – The Big Four founding bands of the thrash genre – to co-headline a series of Sonisphere Festivals in ten European cities, as well as playing a handful of Anthrax-headlined shows (itinerary is below).

“I am super excited about this,” said Scott Ian. “Joey and the rest of the band came to see me play at a club in New York, I hadn’t seen Joey for years, since the end of the reunion tour. Joey taps me on the shoulder, instant big hug, it felt like no time had gone by. The band dynamic is an interesting one – in Anthrax, Joey and I spent so many years of our lives together, we grew up together, we know each other so well, so it was like no time was lost.”

More than 40 over-the-counter infant’s and children’s liquid medications are being recalled.

Not Camillus only, but worth posting.

(AP) — More than 40 over-the-counter infant’s and children’s liquid medications are being recalled in the United States and 11 other countries because they don’t meet quality standards.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare issued the recall for Tylenol, Tylenol Plus, Motrin, Zyrtec and Benadryl after consulting with the Food and Drug Administration.

The company is recalling the products because some did not meet required quality standards, the company said in a statement Friday. Some of the products recalled may have a higher concentration of active ingredient than is specified on the bottle. Others may contain particles, while still others may contain inactive ingredients that do not meet internal testing requirements.

The company is advising consumers to stop giving the products to their children as a precautionary measure. The recall was not undertaken because of any adverse effects, the company said.

The medicines were made and distributed in the United States, and exported to Canada, the Dominican Republic, Dubai, Fiji, Guam, Guatemala, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago and Kuwait.

Details, including NDC numbers, are available by telephone at 1-888-222-6036 or on the Web at www.mcneilproductrecall.com.
