Nine Mile Creek Aqueduct Dedication May 22

In conjunction with the annual Towpath Days Festival, dedication of the restored 1844 Nine Mile Creek Aqueduct will be on Saturday May 22, 2010.

Their hard efforts have put Camillus on the map of National Park Service destinations.

“Our aqueduct is a “water bridge”-similar to a house rain gutter-and carries our Erie Canal Boats over Nine Mile Creek. The 2 mile waterway in the park, which offers canal boat rides and dinner curises now stretches from Sims Store Museum to Warners Road (Rt. 173) withwalking / biking paths that literally let you pass through history. It’s an incredible asset to ourcommunity and will only continue to grow as a unique tourist destination in Central New York.”
